How to use the Free QSL Bureau

HOW TO USE THE FREE QSL BUREAU
(Need NOT be an OMISS Member to use.)

OMISS has a FREE QSL Bureau for all stations, members and non-members, for confirmation of net contacts. If a card was requested, please do not wait to receive before you send. When you have enough outgoing QSLs to fill an envelope, send them in along with some SASE's, with one unit of postage.

* NOTE - DX Stations need NOT pay any outgoing (from the Bureau) postage. The Buro picks up the outgoing postage for all DX Stations.

When there are enough cards coming to you to fill an envelope, the bureau will send them out. QSL cards with cross-outs, write-overs, erasures, etc., will not be accepted for awards. If you make a mistake, throw the card away and write a new one. Write the month as the abbreviation rather than the figure. If the frequency is in MHz, be sure to put the decimal in the right place. If the station you worked was mobile, log both reports and indicate on the card where the station was mobile at the time of the contact. Since we use UTC time format, the starting date for 75M, 40M, and 160M nets is one day later than the calendar date. (This may or may not apply to DX Stations.)

OMSS will forward QSL cards to any DX station (member or Non-member) that checks into an OMISS net.
NOTE: Please check the DX station's QSL Card requirements on QRZ.com before sending DX Cards to the OMISS Bureau.
Some DX stations request cash or IRCs prior to returning a QSL card, in which case it would be advisable to QSL direct if you expect to receive a card in return.

Question 1: Where do I send my Self-Addressed Stamped Envelopes (SASE)?

Answer: Everyone’s SASE will be sent as follows:
If your call sign starts with K, you will send your SASE to KF5RD.
If your call sign starts with A N W DX, you will send your SASE to KB4BML.
NO SASEs REQUIRED FROM DX MEMBER STATIONS. OMISS PAYS THE POSTAGE.

Question 2: Where do I send my OUTGOING QSL Cards?

Answer: Everyone’s OUTGOING QSL cards will be sent as follows:
OUTGOING QSL Cards that start with K will go to KF5RD.
OUTGOING QSL cards that start with A N W DX will go to KB4BML.

Please use only #10 business sized envelopes when sending SASE's to the buro. This helps with organization, and 99.9% of all cards fit in them without the need for folding.
